TJVF Awards 2 Scholarships

TJVF is proud to announce the recipients of two scholarships funded by your gifts and generous support:

Congratulations to:

Nicholas Woolfolk was awarded the Chad Hornik Scholarship – Nicholas was chosen for his academic achievements, strong leadership, and excellent essay. TJVF awards him the Chad Hornik Scholarship of $500 towards his college education at Christopher Newport University – Nicholas had a 4.41 GPA, was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the Science National Honor Society.  He was a first team all-conference Soccer player, RPS Scholar Athlete of the Year, and an Eagle Scout.

Kyra Gilchrist was awarded the TJVF Scholarship – Kyra Gilchrist was chosen for her academic achievements, community involvement, and excellent essay. TJVF awards her a $500 scholarship towards her college education at Virginia Commonwealth University –  Kyra had a 4.0 GPA, was captain of the Volleyball team, editor of the yearbook, was a member of the Key Club, member of the National Society of High School Scholars, member of the National German Honor Society, president of the Art Club, and a volunteer at the Visual Arts Center.
